Special Investigation Director (OSA # 23018)

This position offers an exciting and important opportunity to lead the Special Investigations Division (SID) as the Director. The SID works to aggressively root out fraud and public corruption, embracing stewardship to the taxpayers of New Mexico. The SID team gathers information, data and supportive documentation that is not readily available, which may include bank statements or credit card records that must be obtained through a subpoena. The SID Director would manage up to 6 employees, overseeing the performance of complex financial statement audits of government agencies, special audits, agreed upon procedures and other attestation engagements and the regulation of Independent Public Accountants (Firm Profiles). The SID Director would oversee the application of the appropriate American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards, as well as those for the United States (U.S.) Government Accountability Office (GAO), generally accepted Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book Standards), and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 (Single Audits ) standards.

Audit Supervisor (OSA #00001160)

Audit Manager (OSA #00001159)

This position exists to manage financial statement audit(s) and agreed upon procedures of government agencies in New Mexico in a timely and professional manner.  This position is expected to produce quality audit work papers for more complex areas within budgeted time and successfully supervise and train staff on the engagement.  This position performs and supervises audit report reviews to help ensure quality audit reports are released by the office. This position also leads and/or participates in teams to perform quality control reviews of financial working papers completed by Independent Public Accountants (IPAs).  This position trains staff members and collaborates with co-workers and customers.  This position may perform additional assignments as needed by the OSA, such as projects for the Governmental Accountability Office or Special Investigations Division.
